Toni Reeves is a single mom of two young boys and a special-needs kindergarten teacher at Hembree Elementary School in the Roswell School District. Toni will soon celebrate one year as a homeowner, marking a meaningful step forward after moving from an apartment last year. Each move she\u2019s made\u2014both personally and with her change of address\u2014reflects her commitment to creating stability and opportunity for her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At home, her children have been eager to make their mark on the space\u2014especially by painting their bedrooms and choosing their own curtains. A huge thank-you goes to Pure Barre Roswell and the Roswell School District Principals for their ongoing support in promoting the project, encouraging nominations, and helping collect donations. We couldn\u2019t make this impact without their partnership and generosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Toni\u2019s name came in, it was accompanied by heartfelt words from coworkers, parents, and families who described her as \u201ca light,\u201d \u201ca nurturer,\u201d and \u201cthe calm presence every child deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once Toni was selected, we quietly began planning behind the scenes\u2014collaborating with her school and community partners to create a surprise announcement that would let her know she\u2019d been chosen, and to share our hope of giving her a moment of joy, rest, and visible love in the home she\u2019s made a safe haven for her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A big thank-you to Stems on the Move for the beautiful bouquet presented to Toni during the announcement of her selection as this year\u2019s winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bringing It All Together: Home Refresh Day & Behind the Scenes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Home Refresh Day will be a whirlwind of teamwork and transformation\u2014an outpouring of care and collaboration that will impact not only the walls of Toni\u2019s home but also the atmosphere within it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When asked how it felt to be selected as this year\u2019s winner, Toni shared, \u201cI did not believe that stuff like this actually happened. It\u2019s like something you see on TV, on HGTV\u2014and it\u2019s actually happening to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every Home Refresh project comes to life through dozens of moving parts and generous hearts\u2014from local businesses to community partners and volunteers who give their time, resources, and talent. This kind of impact doesn\u2019t happen overnight; it\u2019s the result of weeks of planning, preparation, and compassion, all focused on honoring one deserving person and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Toni and her children, this refresh is about far more than paint or furniture\u2014it\u2019s about creating a home that feels like a deep exhale.
